C. 885. scripsit Basilio Imperatori ne Photio adhaereret, Guidonem postea Imperatorem electum adoptavit, purgationem ferri candentis et ferventis aquae in Germania, per Archipiescopum Moguntinum sustulit: et quia Photius Spiritum Sanctum ex Filio procedere negavit, voluit addi Niceno Symbolo vocabulum, quod iam in Gallia, Hispania ac Germania usitatum erat, Filioque. Obiit A. C. 890. St. Antoninus, Volaterranus, Sigebertus, Onuphrius, Ciacconius, Platina, etc. quibus adde Flodoardum Histor. Rem. l. 4. c. 1. Ei Formosus successit.
